Jaws Deploy is built by the people who use it.

We are a small group of software and DevOps engineers in Norway and Poland. We started Jaws Deploy in 2023 because the deployment tools we depended on every day had stopped working for us.

// 01 / The story

We had spent years running deployments on Octopus Deploy. We liked its deployment model, and we still use the same one, but every renewal made the bill harder to justify and the product kept growing in directions we didn't need.

So we built the tool we wanted: easy to pick up, flexible enough for a real platform, with good UX and sensible defaults. It doesn't cover every Octopus scenario yet. We ship often and decide what to build next from what customers ask for, so tell us what works for you and what doesn't.

A handful of principles that shape what we build, and what we leave out.

    Deployments need their own model, UI and runtime, not a CI plugin or a YAML file bolted onto the build.

    Simple beats clever

    The right defaults solve more problems than another layer of configuration. We aim for a product you can pick up in an afternoon and still trust at scale.

    Flexible where it counts

    Environments, targets, variables, scoped overrides. Get those primitives right and teams can model real-world infrastructure without fighting the tool.

    Approachable on day one

    A clear UI, readable docs and a short path to the first deployment are part of the product, not polish added later.

    Open to your input

    Customers tell us what is missing and what is rough. Most of the integrations, step templates and scenarios on our roadmap started as those requests.

    Fair, predictable pricing

    A flat plan plus a per-machine rate, published on the pricing page. You can plan the cost a year ahead without negotiating it.

    Software engineer who has been building and operating .NET systems for the better part of two decades. Works across the product - backend, infrastructure, and the marketing site you are reading right now.

Registered in Norway. Operating across the EU. Remote by default.

Jaws Deploy AS is registered in Norway. Development happens in Oslo and Wroclaw, our cloud runs in Germany, and the whole team is remote. Data residency and hosting details live on the Trust and Security page.
