# Delete a workspace tenant variable

Delete a workspace tenant variable that no project uses.

`DELETE /api/workspace/tenant-variable-template`

Refused while any project uses the variable. Stop using it in those projects first with `DELETE /api/project/workspace-tenant-variable`.

## Parameters

| `templateId` | query | string | yes | ID of the workspace tenant variable. |

## Errors

| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 400 | Invalid `templateId`, or a project still uses it - the message lists those projects. |
| 401 | Missing or invalid Basic auth credentials, or the service account can't manage workspace variables in this workspace. |
