# Restore a tenant

Source: https://www.jawsdeploy.net/rest-api/tenants-restore | Section: Tenants

Bring an archived tenant back.

`POST /api/tenant/restore`

Restores an archived tenant. The restored tenant counts towards the plan limit again, so this needs a free tenant slot just like creating one.

Restoring a tenant that is not archived does nothing.

## Parameters

| Name | In | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| `tenantId` | body | string | yes | ID of the tenant. |

## Errors

| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 400 | Invalid `tenantId`. |
| 401 | Missing or invalid Basic auth credentials, or the service account lacks permission to manage tenants in this workspace. |
| 409 | Your plan has no free tenant slot. The error code is `2002` and the message says what your plan allows. |
