# Delete a tenant

Delete a tenant.

`DELETE /api/tenant`

Deletes a tenant. A deleted tenant is gone from every listing and its name can be used again. Active and archived tenants can both be deleted.

## Parameters

| `tenantId` | query | string | yes | ID of the tenant. |

## Errors

| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 400 | Invalid `tenantId`. |
| 401 | Missing or invalid Basic auth credentials, or the service account lacks permission to manage tenants in this workspace. |
