# Delete a tenant variable

Delete a tenant variable from a project.

`DELETE /api/project/tenant-variable-template`

Deletes a tenant variable. The values tenants gave it are no longer shown or used, and its name can be used again.

## Parameters

| `templateId` | query | string | yes | ID of the tenant variable. |

## Errors

| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 400 | Invalid `templateId`. |
| 401 | Missing or invalid Basic auth credentials, or the service account can't edit this project. |
